Flexform -half a Century of Italian Design History

Flexform is born out of a decades-long family tradition and operating in a small town in the North of Italy renowned for its high quality furniture production, the Flexform brand has been instantly recognizable for almost half a century. Over the last twenty years it has given rise to an extensive range of products that have taken their place in the history of italian design.

The firm has thoroughly explored all aspects of the universe of opportunities offered by the concept of seating, exalting harmony and rigueur, quality and creativity.

There is a fertile relationship between production and design in a company that has successfully stimulated creative interaction with successive generations of designers: from Cini Boeri to Joe Colombo with his historic “Tube chair”, from Sergio Asti to Rodolfo Bonetto, creator of the celebrated “Boomerang”.
Today, the lucid, inventive style of Antonio Citterio, responsible for much of Flexform’s recent history, is flanked by important exemplars of Modern Movement culture in the form of highly evocative re-editions. The production of a number of designs by the lombard rationalists Asnago, Vender and Mucchi has restored to the present fragments of a lost past.
Equipped with long memories, agile in the present and open to the future, Flexform products are objects that you will want to take with you into the new millennium; milestones of a journey as inspiring as arduous, testimony to the uncertainties of an era, ductile and tenacious interpreters of an authentic demand for comfort and beauty.
